I am truly blessed. I mean that. Every morning I wake up and thank the good Lord for all he has blessed us with. Our two wonderful children, our happy marriage, both of our loving families and living so close to both of them, my stable jobs, and our home and financial stability. Lately the Lord has blessed us even more with extra income coming in so we have many travels scheduled. To Tim and I travling is living life to it's fullest. Our time on earth is SO short that to buy material things to me is just not important. I want to spend my time experiencing life with my family and making memories.
We have planned this year: 1 week in Kiawah South Carolina for Spring Break, 6 nights at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (our new Disney Vacation Club "home), 9 nights at Saratoga Springs Resort in Disney (using our Developer points incentive we got for joining the Disney Vacation Club), 1 week in Grand Haven Michigan, and 2 nights in Disney just Tim and I in November for Food and Wine Festival, as I said - truly blessed!
This weekend we are GOING TO GATLINBURG!!!!!! I can't wait to pull up here tomorrow night:
Spend the night in this big cozy bed
(we have a 3 bedroom cabin so we EACH get our own king size bed, cable t.v. AND bathroom . . .HEAVEN here on earth : )
Enjoy some family quality time here:
But more than ANYTHING, Enjoy some relaxing time here!!!!
Tomorrow can't come fast enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On the road with my family, there jus it NOTHING ELSE like it!
Enjoying life one day at a time as a wife, working mother, daughter, sister, friend and lover of all things Disney.

Room Mom and My Baby is Eight!
Well, this year I volunteered to be room mom for Luke's 2nd grade class. Being a working mom brings a TON of guilt so this was one way I could be involved in Luke's education in a positive way. I have already planned and organized Luke's fall party, and winter party as well as organized the class gift for Christmas for his teacher as well. Tim and I have had fun running the parties but this has been a lot more time consuming than I had realized it would be. For the Valentine's party I decided instead of trying to organize volunteers to send everything in, (which was so time consuming) I would have them donate a few dollars each. The money has been trickling in and Tim and I went shopping for things tonight.
I also found a cute idea in Family Fun magazine that I was excited to try. I had each student cut out 3 construction paper hearts and write something they loved about their teacher. The idea was for the teacher to have enough hearts that for the rest of the school year she can pull a heart out and start her day off right with a compliment from one of her students. I thought it was a cute idea.
My daunting task was trying to make it look presentable. Those of you who know me well know that I do not have a SINGLE creative bone in my body. I was proud of the final result though;
Here is a closeup of the card I made to attach to it:
Not too shabby, I hope she likes it. Now just wish me luck. Trying to organize a Valentines party for 27 kids, work full time, work for University of Phoenix online (I have a CRAZY busy schedule right now) AND organize things to go out of town to Gatlinburg on Friday RIGHT after the party is starting to cause a teenie bit of anxiety : )
On another note, my baby Luke is 8. I can't believe it. . . .I feel so old. We found some old home movies and were watching them as a family today. It brought tears to my eyes watching my two little babies inside the screen. It made me want to reach right through the t.v. and back in time and hold their little bodies. Lauren with her little teenie emerging curls and cute lisp as she tried to pronounce big words for the first time - Luke's first day of Kindergarten, oh the time goes by soooooo fast.
We ended up having his party at an indoor amusement park in a local mall. The kids had a blast.
We started at the table with pizza, presents and cupcakes:
Then it was off to UNLIMITED rides:
They had such fun on the rides:
They even had carnival squirting game that they enjoyed:
Then they had all kinds of activities too, Lauren enjoyed the glow bowling and a mining activity (which was so cool, she was mining for gems and got to keep the ones she found):
Luke enjoyed glow bowling, go karts and glow golf with his friend, here he is enjoying glow bowling:
Then after 3 hours there (really, it was 3 hours) we were exhausted and hungry. Luke had two of his cousins spending the night. We took them out to dinner, they had such a good time:
So. . .party is over, my baby is 8 years old. I praise the Lord for my healthy and happy babies. I can't wrap my mind around the fact that by the end of this year I will be the mother of an 8 and a 6 year old, where has the time gone and how do I get it back?
